Meet Jake Tilson in New York
The author of a Tale of 12 Kitchens, Jake Tilson, will be wandering around New York on the 4th December and is open to chat to all and sundry.
To launch his first cookbook - Jake Tilson, artisit, designer and author will spend a day roving around his favourite culinary spots in Manhattan. Join him for coffee, pancakes or a beer somewhere on his route.
He will be in Tribeca for breakfast (The Square Diner, 33 Leonard Street) from 6-7:30am then over to Veselka’s (144 2nd Avenue) from 9 until 10:30am. Soup on the East Side is the next stop (Eli’s Manhattan Taste Cafe 1411 Third Avenue between 80th and 81st Street) from 1-2pm.
In the afternoon, Jake will be eating cannoli in the Garment District Manganaros (488 Ninth Avenue between 37th & 38th Street 3.00-4.30pm By early evening he’ll head towards a bar nicknamed The Shark Bar for a Schaefer’s from the tap or a Bloody Mary at Spring Lounge (48 Spring Street at the corner of Mulberry Street) 6.00-7.00pm.
