Sunset Does Steak
There’s no doubt that my family’s steak consumption skyrockets in the summer. It’s just so easy to throw one on the grill and it allows us to avoid adding any more heat in the house. However, sometimes it’s easy to get in a rut.
I usually make Korean Flank Steak when I can’t decide what to make, but Sunset Magazine’s June issue does its best to provide some new and interesting ideas for steak. The ideas offered can be applied to almost any preparation for steak, including roasting, pan-frying, or grilling. They are sauces and rubs that are also designed to keep well, so you can store them in an airtight container in the fridge for weeks.
The recipes are broken down into sauces and rubs:
Steak sauces
- Sweet and Tangy Sauce
- Traditional Barbecue Sauce
- Steak with Chimichurri Sauce (Bistec Argentino al Chimichurri)
- Skirt Steak with Mustard Sauce
- Red Chili Sauce
Steak rubs
Give one a try and let us know how it turns out!
