This Week’s Recipe and Cookbook Reviews


Here are a few of our favorite recipe and cookbpok reviews from around the blogosphere this week.  If you have a post that you wrote reviewing a recipe from the food media, e-mail us so we can include it!    

  • Kalyn at Kalyn’s Kitchen displays her entry into a great blogging event: the Julia Child Birthday Event sponsored by Lisa of Champaign Taste.
  • Sam of Becks and Posh was inspired by the most recent issue of Donna Hay’s magazine to create mini Tomato Tart Tatins.
  • Clotilde of Chocolate & Zucchini tried a mango sorbet recipe from David Leibovitz’s ice cream book, The Perfect Scoop.
  • Nicole of Baking Bites offers some thoughts on a PC Magazine’s list of the weirdest kitchen gadgets.
  • Kickpleat at Everybody Likes Sandwiches adapted used a Martha Stewart recipe for Cornmeal Pate Brisee and adapted Martha’s Baking Handbook recipe for Apricot-Blackberry Galette.
  • Jessica Harlan at Lime utlized three cookbooks from her collection this week: Sara’s Secrets for Weeknight Meals, Tyler Florence’s Real Kitchen, and Jacques Pepin’s Simple and Healthy Cooking.  Go check out her reviews of the recipes.
